The Song Series was inspired by time spent inside the Song of the Sea cave near Land’s End. Listening, watching and absorbing the sensations of this remarkable place, the artist became fascinated by the interplay of light, sound, texture and movement. The experience left a lasting sensory impression that continues to inform the work.

Spanning vessels, tableware and jewellery, the practice sits at the intersection of function and form. Each piece carries a quiet strength, inviting a closer look at its surface, material and making.

Material is integral to the character of the work, shaping its form, texture and tactile quality. Concept, material and craftsmanship are intended to be experienced together, rather than as separate elements of the design.
