Sebastian Cox on the work

The Barker chair is simple in form, supremely comfortable and made in the Sebastian Cox workshop from solid English ash. Designed by Brogan Cox of the Sebastian Cox studio, this chair was commissioned to be hand-marbled by artist Natascha Maksimovic in grounding green tones. Each chair is unique and hand-marbled, covering parts of the chair. This chair represents a partnership between two female makers who are quietly reshaping the conversation around craft, collaboration and materiality.
