Bo Hellberg, the CMO of Grythyttan Stålmöbler on the work

In 1930, Artur Lindqvist designed and manufactured the A2 chair for the Stockholm Exhibition. Since its creation, the A2 Armchair has decorated Swedish bowers and gardens and is now regarded as a timeless classic. Crafted from solid wood and steel, each A2 Armchair is handmade and fitted with a unique galvanised spring steel construction, creating its characteristic unbeatably peaceful rocking motion.

Made using FSC- or PEFC-certified wood, it is fully recyclable and available in a range of wooden finishes. Grythyttan Stålmöbler was originally founded in the old mining village of Grythyttan by Artur Lindqvist.

Today, it is a fourth-generation family brand. For over 130 years, Grythyttan Stålmöbler has successfully blended classic craftsmanship with timeless Scandinavian design. Today, Grythyttan Stålmöbler remains in its home town of Grythyttan, Sweden, where all its design pieces continue to be handmade by its skilled craftspeople.
