Ligne Roset on the work

The CM 145 carver chair is a reissue of Pierre Paulin's 1954 original design. Its back shell is formed from moulded beech multi-ply, with a seat built from multi-ply panels and a tubular steel base finished in matt black epoxy lacquer. Elastic webbing provides suspension, while high-resilience polyurethane foam and a quilted polyether layer add comfort. The reissue retains the light, economical construction of the original while making the material and structural logic clearly visible.
